WHITE WITH A TWIST
"My home is 2033 sq ft and located in Helsinki. The apartment is builded in a 1940’s. I love white and neutral colors like light grey and beige. Black accents, brown leather and vintage/weathered wood gives a nice contrast."
"I try to keep all materials and home textiles as natural as possible; I favour raw linen, cotton, handmade ceramics and wooden utensils. We have a small dining room next to the open-plan kitchen."
"I love to make DIY projects in my home; for example our kitchen spashback is covered with micro cement/concere by me."
"Old belongings are my greatest treasures; like these black metallic scissor lamps over the island kitchen used to hang in an old factory since 1940. We have an open-plan kitchen. Our livingroom and kitchen are combined; having a space like that for cooking, entertaining, relaxing, gathering as a family and with friends is great. We have a narrow hallway which leads to combined kitchen & livingroom area."
"White floors and walls give me a good sleep. I prefer airy and quite minimal bedroom. Rugs, made of natural fibers and weaved basked gives a nice contrast against the whiteness. In my bedroom (and actually all the other rooms as well) are plants. They add cozyness and bring a small piece of nature into my home. And I truly believe that plants clean the air, too."
